Night Time

Purple and blue and mystical green, 7he evening sky is a changing scene: Bui did you know thai when shadows fall, When the sky turns black, and the morepork's call Is the only sound to disturb your sleep— The Star Fairy wakes from her slumber deep? She tenderly gathers each drowsy star And with dainty hand flings them wide and far; They sparkle and glow in the velvety night Like a sprinkling of diamonds gleaming bright. And then, when the shadows of night steal aWay. And the faint rosy dawn marks the coming day. The Star Fairy gathers her fold around And vanishes quickly with never a sound, - Original sketch and poem by Bettina Moir (17), M.B.G.
