BEGINNING THE DAY
(Supplied by (he Council of Christian Congregations.) Text. —When I thought to know this, it was too painful for me; until I went into the sanctuary of God; then understood I their end. Psalm, 73, 16; 17. Pra.ver. —0 Eternal God, who art leading us by new ways which we know not, grant us the adventurous spirit. Make us willing to attempt new tasks and face new ways, as we seek together Thy kingdom and righteousness. Bestow upon us the gift of love, which believeth all things, hopet.li all things, and -eudureth all things; and so inspire our worship of Thee and our service of our fellows that there may be raised upon the ruins which sin and strife have made the city whose Builder and Maker is God, through Jesus Christ our Saviour and Lord. Amen.
