STOCKS AND SHARES
THE AUCKLAND EXCHANGE VALUES A LITTLE IRREGULAR Price movements tended to be slightly irregular on the Auckland Stock Exchange yesterday. Turnover continued to expand toward more normal proportions as a few more sellers came into the market. Improved support for short and medium term Government loans failed to attract holders but business was done in Auckland Harbour loans, ex interest, at a substantial premium. Banks were fully firm, but some insurance bids were fractionally easier, the market remaining bare of sellers. In the industrial sections breweries were a little stronger. lietail stores were active, late rates ruling for Farmers' Trading, while McKenzies showed a decline of Is on pre-holiday rates.
