PROGRESS OF THE CLIPPER CANTON ISLAND BEACHED On the second stage of the flight from Auckland to San Francisco the Pan American Airways Honolulu Clipper left Noumea at 6.20 a.m. New Zealand time yesterday and arrived at Canton Island at 7.57 p.m. New Zealand time yesterday. The Clipper will stay at Canton Island a day before continuing the flight to Honolulu and San Francisco. Leaving San Francisco on Saturday the next south-bound Clipper is expected at Auckland on January 16.
