THE AVONDALE CIRCUIT Committees to arrange farewells to men leaving; for active service in the armed forces and to keep in touch with men while they are away are to he set up by congregations of churches in the Avondale circuit of the Methodist Church as the result, of a request made it the quarterly meeting of the circuit at Henderson on Tuesday. The Rev. H. Sharp presided. The financial statement, showing a credit balance, was approved. Foreign mission collections showed an increase, and the prospects of home mission collections reaching the amount of allocation were excellent. The circuit stewards, Messrs. J. E. Astley and S. Elcoat, were reappointed.
