DEFEAT OF PUBLIC SCHOOLS [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON, Friday \ Hamilton cricket team played an eleven comprising former English Public School bovs at Seddon Park yesterday, Hamilton winning by nearly 200 runs. Bright made H)t and retired, securing 15 boundaries and one six. Avery made 07 and retired, and .Tordan compiled 12. Hamilton's score totalled •51.-> Dr FT E. Annett took three wickets for 2<> runs. The Public School team made 119. Hope took four wickets for 20 runs, He in i two for 3, and Gates two for 9. WIN FOR WAIRARAPA [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] MASTERTON. Friday Wairarana defeated Hawko's Bay by three wickets in* a representative cricket match, which was concluded to-day. Wairarapa made 2(>3 and 173 for seven wickets and Hawkes Bay replied with 233 and 193.
