HTHE £500,000 Twentieth Century-Fox programme of British pictures has also got away to a good start at Shepherd's Bush, with shooting on Kipps. Diana Wvnyard, who after neglecting films for years, must now be the busiest English screen actress, is also in this, with Michael Redgrave as "Kipps." The war, incidentally, has revived the communal spirit that used to he a feature of film making in the early days. Maurice Ostrer, in charge of production at "the hush," has offered the studio staff the opportunity of "living in" at the studio until the film is finished. The Radio Company, too, has started work on a new British production, "The Saint's Vacation." This time Hugh Sinclair is "The Saint." Sally Gray is the heroine. She must he getting used to the "Saint" series. She played opposite George Sanders in "A Saint in London."
