Pixie Mixie's Mix-up

pi XII '. MIXIE walked sadly along Holly Bush Terrace, for it was Christmas, and it is a rule in Fairvland that at Christmas each Pixie must do someone else a good turn. Pixie Mixie, though had been unable to do a good turn, so he was ;i very sad Pixie indeed. He turned oil into Mistletoe Square and there ho saw someone looking very ghmi. it was Eddie Elf, who edited the Fairyland newspaper called the Pixie Piper. They want a. new advertisement for Christmas, and 1 just can't think of one.'' Pixie Mixie smiled. Here was a chance to do his good deed, "Don't worry, Eddie. Elf. I'll think of something." he said.

Then he took Eddie's papers and he shuffled them, looked through them, and read them. At' last he said, "I'll tell you what I'll do. I'll edit the Christmas edition for you." Eddie looked surprised and just, a little dubious, and. seeing this, Pixie .Mixie said, "It's all right, I can do it." lie hastily shoved Eddie Elf out of the way, and set to work, Eddie seeing nothing could stop Pixie Mixie from doing it now, walked away. 1 o-morrow —he \vould see. Next day the paper came around, and what a surprise had Eddie Elf, for right in the middle, in a border of holly and Christmas bells, was the following advertisement: — 1 "MUSHROOM MILK MIXERS": Drink Mushroom Milk, it is the finest tooth paste vou ever tried, and Foxglove Cream is an excellent, drink. This year your Christmas tabb will not be complete without Dewdrop Wine, which is the best soap to find its way into the Ray Green Meadows Markets for many years. Rose Bud perfume finds great popularity in cleaning pots and pans, while Tips and Tops new pan-cleaning lotion is an excellent scent. Last night the Queen wore it at the Christmas Ball, as it will remove even the darkest spots .... Poor Eddie read no further, hut hurried off to find Pixie Mixie. Oh. how he had muddled things up. Eddie, though, was in such a hurry he didn't look where lie was going, and he knocked right into the Fairy Queen herself. She had just read the advertisement, and was furious. Poor Eddie had to explain even-thing, and wonder of wonders, the (juecn really laughed. "Come oil " she said, "we'll find Pixie Mixie ' They found him setting out the nextday's paper, and he looked so busy and so ltappv that even Eddie Elf hadn I. the heart to scold him. If is said Pixie Mixie still helps Eddie with the papers; but he only delivers them now!
