CHASE BY CONSTABLE
MAORI YOUTH CAPTURED MISSING CAR RECOVERED [ nv Ti:r.K<.i!.u'Ji —own* couuksi'onijkxt] HAMILTON, Friday An exciting chase by Constable A. J. .Tackson at Itag'an to-day resulted in the recovery of a motor-car which had •been removed from Hamilton on Christmas morning. The ear was owned by Mr. A. S. Yates, of ILal tray Street. Hamilton, and it was loaded with camping gear when it was taken from his premises. The car was recognised by Constable Jackson, at Kopua, Haglan, in the afternoon, and when he approached it. the driver, a .Maori youth, jumped out, took olf his boots and ran away. Aft'er a fairly long chase the youth was caplured and lie was later charged in the Haglan Police Court with the unlawful conversion of a car. He was remanded to appear at Hamilton on January 2.
