PRAISE FOR SYSTEM
EDUCATION IN DOMINION UNITED STATES EXPERIENCE Praise of the standard of education received in pw /Zealand schools was expressed yesterday by Mr. Byron E. Mills, assistant-manager of the Atlantic Union Oil Company at Wellington, who returned bv the Mariposa from a se\en months' visit to the Lnited States and Canada. He said his children, who went to school at Wellington, were sent to school in America during the visit and they jumped a full form and then finished up their period at the schoca at the top of their classes. ''This savs a lot for New Zealand schools," said Mr. Mills, who was bom in the United States, "and the American teachers were full of praise for the work they did. They were sorry to see them leave and regarded them as their prize pupils. Among other things they said that both the children spoke correctly." , . . . Mr. Mills also mentioned how his father, who was born in Canada 94 years ago, but had lived for 72 years in the United States, still gave his loyalties to Great Britain.
