CONVERSION OF CARS
| THREE YOUTHS CHARGED REFORMATIVE DETENTION [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON, Friday The unlawful conversion of four motor-cars was admitted by Cyril ! Joseph Bogue and Keith Alexander ! Bell, each aged 18. of Hamilton, before | Mr. S. L. Paterson, S.M., in the Haiui ilton Police Court to-day. Bell also ; admitted the unlawful conversion of a I fifth car and the theft of cheques and j other projierty valued at £'3l, while i Bogue pleaded guilty to the theft of i two Jiats. | Detective-Sergeant J. Thompson i described the removal of cars from j Hamilton, Auckland and Morrinsville. i A small car taken from Morrinsville | was driven at (50 miles an hour and j crashed against a post. ! Air. Paterson ordered that both be | detained in a reformative institution for j a period not exceeding two years. A third youth aged 16 was brought | before the Juvenile Court on four j charges of converting motor-cars and three of theft. The youth had been associated with Bogue and Bell. He was committed to the supervision of the Child Welfare Department for two vears.
