Hamilton. — Having won the Hinks Shield from the Hamilton club the previous week, the Frankton Howling Club failed to hold it against Railway. The challengers, Doyle. Bright, Howie and Johnson, beat Conncw, J take, Lyniburn and Exeiby, by ~2~ point s to IT. A challenge match for the Waikato Pairs Shield between Hamilton, the holders, and Claudelands resulted in Hamilton retaining the trophy, Dunkley and Call beating Mead and Fruish by 'JO to Hi. Play in the Mathews ferns at Claudelands resulted: —McOowau, Tyler, Marshall, Milling-ton (holders), •_*l, v. Wcatherley, Scabrook, Young', Sayers. ta.
