OKOROIRE NOTES

Mrs. T. Bottom ley has returned to Camhridge Road, from a visit to Mrs. K. Bottomley, Taumarunui. Miss Peggy Stewart and Miss Inez Fouler, of Tirau, are visitors to Aucklan d. Miss ,T. Goodwin is spending a holiday at Auckland and Morrinsville. Mrs. W. B. Hardwick will return to Okoroire this week from a visit to her daughter, Mrs. Douglas Aldridge, Waiterimu, < Uiinewai. A social in honour of five men from the Okoroire-Tirau districts who liave entered camp was given by the local coniniifct.ee of the Patriotic Society. On behalf of the people of the district'., the president of the society, Mr. F. J. Anderson, presented each of the guests of honour with a gold wristlet watch. Brief speeches were made by Mr. N. L. Higginson find Mr. MiKernnri.
