ROTARY CLUB
THE WEEKLY LUNCHEON Tlir weekly luncheon of the Auckland Rotary Club yesterday was largely attended and was presided over by the president, Mr. F. M. Winstone. Mr. T. Lamont was warmly welcomed back after an absence abroad of 19 months. The president mentioned that during his travels Mr. Lamont had attended 42 Rotary gatherings and had addressed 23 Rotary clubs. Mr. Lamont presented to the club a flap; that he had received from the Manila Rotary Club to give to the Auckland club. 'l'Tio speaker for the day was Mr. J. W. Shaw, who spoke on the. subject, "Getting a Line on Ourselves." • Welcomes were extended to Lieuten-ant-Commissioner Evan Smith and M essrs. H. H. Newton and F. W. Furkert, all Rotarians from Wellington, and to the following other visitors:—Or. R. M. Stevenson (Miami, Florida), Mr. E. G. Upton (Sydney), Mr. C. F. Fowler (Wellington), Brigadier A. Suter, Messrs. P. Seabrook, T. W. Attwood, J. W. Shaw, P. H. Stern, W. H. Y. Taiue and H» McD. yincent {Auckland}.,
