Collections payable to the War Expenses Account last month were £111.981, compared with £113,961 in October, and £l-5.231 a year ago The total since the beginning of the year is £.560,971. The amounts include o per cent sales tax and proportions of additional duties on lirpior, tobacco and gold exports.

INCREASE OF £30,000 COLLECTIONS AT DUNEDIN [by telegraph —press association] DUNEDIN, Sunday Customs returns for November show a slight drop of approximately £6OO compared with last year. Boer duty also declined by a little over £IOOO. The greatly increased war expenses account, which last month reached a total of £41.852, made a grand total of £172,068, approximately £30,000 ahead of total receipts for the samo period last; year.
