TOWN CARRIERS

REVIEW OF LICENCES DEPARTMENT'S DEMAND Auckland town carriers have been informed by the Transport Department that it proposes under legislation and regulations to examine their accounts and records prior to ibc review* of their licences by the licensing authority. In a communication on the subject, it is stated it is thought it would be more convenient for carriers to call at the office of the department instead of an inspector making a visit upon them. They aro required to bring with them their accounting books, time and wages hooks, and petrol licences.
