AUCKLAND CLUE'S CLOSING PRINCIPAL TROPHY WINNERS About 70 players toOk part in a mixed Canadian foursomes medal match at Middlemore on Saturday to mark the close of the Auckland Golf Club's winter season. Richmond. at afternoon tea. Prior to the presentation of trophies the president made an appeal to members to give all possible support to the club. Nearly <->0 members were already on active service, and it was the duty of all those remaining to keep the club intact for them when they return. Mr. Richmond thanked the- stall, both indoor and outdoor, for its loyal services during the year, and he made eulogistic reference to the work of the secretary, Mr. R. L. Akarana.—A Stableford bogey' competition was contested in perfect weather, an excellent- card of 75 gross being returned bj J. Linton off a handicap of two arid he won the competition with a score of 3b. The nc.C best cards were:—D Coyle (2) 3o; E. L. Fitzgerald (4), 84; E. lorke (o), 34, J. l». Foote (10), 33; S. Lovell (6), S2. Pupuke.—A bogey competition was won by H. A Randrup, with a card of 2 UP- 1 next best cards were those of \\. l>. Kins and W. B. Taylor, all square.
