CALF CLUB CONTEST

[■FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT] HUNTLY, Saturday Twenty-two schools were represented at the annual championship show and field day organised by the Lower Wnikato Schools' Agricultural Group held in the grounds of the Runtly District. High School to-day. The Minister of Agriculture, the Hon. \V. Lee Martin, presented the prizes. The champion calf (.Mr. C. Bailey's gold medal, Mrs. ('. Bailey's silver medal and purple and gold riband) was exhibited by Audrey Buss (Taupiri). and the reserve champion calf (Mr. C. Bailey's gold medal. Mrs. i . Bailey's silver medal and white and gold riband) 'by Myrtle Sutherland (Netherby). The Group' Shield for most points was won by Netherti.v School (third year in succession) with 55 points, Taupiri being second with 81 and Kimihia third with 2~>.
