Sunday The report presented at the annual meeting of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association yesterday stated that to meet the rases of chilis which, although unable to carry on, were desirous of retaining their affiliation, the management committee had decided to allow this without liability for affiliation fees until after the conclusion of hostilities. The balance-sheet showed an excess of income over expenditure of £lll 10s 2d. Mr. TI. 1. Austad said the times presented a challenge to keep the sport virile and healthy. He hoped a vigorous policy of developing boys at school and others of junior age would be adopted for the coming season. Officers were elected as follows:—President, Mr. A. C. Kitto; chairman of the management committee, Mr. Austad; secretary and treasurer, Mr. H. McCormick; administration committee, the above and Mr. J. W. Holley; finance committee, Messrs. Kitto, D. T. Woodfield, 0. S. Leeder; reinstatement committee, Messrs. A. L. Stevens, ,1. Gasson, Holley; record committee, Messrs. Leeder, V. R. Walker, D. Macplierson; delegates to New Zealand Olympic Association, Messrs. Austad, Leeder, Gasson; representative on Olympic Association executive, Mr. Austad; overseas representatives, LieutenantColonel Porritt (England), ,T)r. Lamb (Canada), Mr. I. G. Emery (South Africa) and Mr. E. S- Marks (Australia). Mr. K. W. Mc.Villy was presented with a silver cigarette box on his retirement from the presidency after 16 years' service.
MEETING AT MOUNT ALBERT An open carnival day of the Mount Albert Amateur Athletic Club was held at GrihblcHirst Park on Saturday afternoon, there being a full muster for all events.
