MILK DELIVERY
Sir,--How can the Housewives' Association talk ot paying for service when Mrs. Hall Gallon (always a reasonable person) leaves her Ivlly at the gate while Mrs. Half Pint leaves hers on the back porch. This hillics-at-gate business affects all towns and cities in New Zealand, except Wellington, where delivery to the gate only has been the rule for years Half the milk vendors are farmers. Surely the hour or so it would sa\ e if it were made compulsory to leave billies at: the gate could he put fo belter use on the farm than running to hack doors per slippery paths. Women of \ew Zealand cities and tow ns. do .von realise the extra work your counlrv sifters av doing? Are you not prepared to suffer one little personal discomfort to help win this war? Kahmir's Wife.
