Dividing The Land

A man left a square piece of land to be divided among Ills five sons. The eldest son was to take a square piece from one corner. The remaining threequarters was to be equally divided among the other four sons, so that each piece was the same size and shape. How was this done? —Copied by Heather Brodie (12).
