AIR FORCE WEDDING

LEL AND—D;Y SON BRIDE'S BROCADED GOWN ATTENDANTS IN LILAC CHIFFON The wedding took place at St. Andrew's Church, Epsom, on Saturday afternoon, of .Miss Margaret "Weston Dyson, younger daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. S. Dyson, Cedar Road, Epsom, and Leading-Aircraftsman Thomas Arthur Leland, Royal New Zealand Air Force, Ohakea, elder son of Mr. and Mrs. T. A. Leland, of Mount Eden. The Pew F. P. do L. Willis officiated and Air. Kaynor White played the wedding music. A beautiful gown of French hrocade, with scroll design in white and silver, was worn hv the bride, who was given away by her father. The long-sleeved corsage was fashioned with a pointed Peter Pan collar and finished with tiny buttons down the front to a high waistline. The graceful skirt, with fullness accentuated at the back, fell in soft folds to form a long oval train. Over the gown fell a three-quarter-length veil of tulle, which was held with a coionet of white lace and orange blossom, and was worn over her face as the bride entered the church. She carried a sheaf of Christmas lilies. Attending the bride was her sister, Mrs. T. J. Lake (Putaruru). and her cousin, Alis.s Mary J)yson. They were dressed alike in picture frocks of lilac ; chiffon over taffeta in a deeper tone I of lilac. The frocks were fashioned with j short puff sleeves, Peter Pan collars and bouffant skirts. They wore halo headdresses of natural tlower.s in tones of pink and lilac and carried sheaves of similar flowers. The bridegroom was attended by ! Leading-Aircraftsman Frank Leland, R.N.Z.A.F., Levin, as best man, and by Air. .James McKay as groomsman. Following the ceremony a reception was held at the Domain Kiosk. To receive her guests Mrs. Dyson wore a graceful ensemble of mirage blue corded faille with a navy blue ballibuntal straw hat. She carried a bouquet of shot silk roses. Airs. Leland, the bridegroom's mother, wore a charming ensemble of navy blue romaine and a navy hat. Her bouquet was of roses in gold tonings.
