PLAY AT MIDDLEMOBE AUCKLAND CLUB'S EVENT BLOOMFIELD BOWL TO W. LEWIS The third round of the E. R. Bloomfield Bowl event was played at Middlemore by members of the Auckland Golf Club on Saturday. The best scores were:— R. L. McNivcn, 77, 9—08; C. H. Wyatt, 78, JO —OS; W. A. Donald. 74, 4—7o;' V. E. Masters, 83. 12—71; E. L. Bartleet, 70, 3 —73; W. A. Taaffe. 87. 14—73; W. Wilson, S-l, 10—74; G. C. Henderson, 84, 10—71; W. B. Colheck, 84, 10—74. McNiven won on the count-back. The Bloomfield Bowl, which is for the best two of three medal rounds, was won by W. R. Lewis with scores of 08. 70 —138. The semi-finals of the four-ball match-play event resulted:—R. L. McXivcn and 11. P. Williams beat F. Macky and H. Henderson, 3 and 1; R. W. G. Anderson and J. L. Blacktnore beat W. A. Donald and W. 3. Spcncc, 2 and 1. Titirangi.—The winter programme was concluded on Saturday, when a mixed Canadian bogey foursomes was played. Tho best cards were:—c. T. Lovoll and Mrs. Lovell, 84, 9—75. North Shore. —Tho Travellers" Cup was won by H. H. Charlesworth. with a Stableford score of 33. Remuera.—A flag match played at Rcmucra was won by G. I. Duncan, who took the nag to the 20th fairway. Duncan, in returning a gross 71. played very fine golf under the windy conditions prevailing. Orakei. —A four-ball bogey was won by F. Birch and G. Satchel!, 4 up. The club will close its winter season next Saturday. Otahuhu. —Tho first round of tho Summer Cup (handicap' match play) was commenced when the following matches wero played:—W. J Gavin beat J. W. Johns at tho nineteenth; J. Eccles boat C. A. Elder. 1 up; T. C. Heard beat P. McKenzio, 1 up; G. W. Kirkbride won from O. R. Montgomery by default; Williamson beat Smales, l up; Stafford beat Huggctfc, 1 up; Soller.v beat Fearnley at the 10th; Mclhuish beat Sturmey, 8 and 7; Andrews won from Guthrie by default. Pupuke.—An open day was held to celebrate the men's annual prize day. Thcro was a large attendance of members and visitors. A combined four-ball bogey match was played over 12 holes, for which there wero 70 entries, the winning pair being Miss F. Barker and V. Oborn, 5 up. The next best carH was Miss B. O'Neill and J. Howden, all square. The winners of tho principal events wero:—Club championship, H. A. Randrup; junior championship, D. Ingram; Bell Cup, G. M. Trugcott; Mingay Cup, L. Hardgrave; Hawes Cup, W. E. King; Pupuke 1 Cup, H. A- Randrup; Centennial Cup, J. M.

Mollard; Captain's Prize, R. AVatson; President's Prize, A. Ser/ice; Gold Button, E. 1. Brown. The final of the senior knock-out competition was won by J. Howden. who do-" feated L. Hardgrave, 3 and 2. G. C. B. Minogue beat R. Watson, 3 and 2. in the linai for the Junior Cup.

LADIES' MATCHES Manukau Ladies.—The winners of the improved ringed hole competition for the best gross score for Mrs. Watts' trophy were Miss Attenborrow and Mrs. F. H. Barnard, with scores of 69 each. The next best scores were: Mrs. R. T. Grant, 70; Mrs. F. Parker, Mrs. Heald. Mrs. Fleming. Miss G. Jackson. 71. The winner of the best net score for Mrs. Fleming's trophy was Mrs. Muir, -18, the next best being Miss G. Jackson, 49; Mrs. O'dfield, 50; Mrs. Crikhon, Mrs. R. T. Grant, 52. The semi-finals for the Manukau Cup resulted as follows: Mrs. Barnard beat Miss Attenborrow, 4 and 3; Miss Jackson defaulted to Mrs Oldfield. Playing in a medal round Mrs L. Critchon returned the best score, with a card of 90, 27 —03. The next best were: Mrs. • Ayhvard, 108, 3<i —7'J; Miss Whitburn. 100, 28 —72; Miss Wannan. 111, 30—75. The club will close its winter season on Wednesday next, play commencing at 10.30 a.m. with a medal round. Visitors tire invited. The annual general meeting will take place after play on Wednesday. North Shore.—Following is the result of the medal match played on Saturday:—Miss M. Harvey, 100, 3-J—77; Mrs. E. Perritt, 113, 31 —70; Mrs. M. Chisliolm, IU!J, 21—70. The consolation match was won by Miss A. Facer with ill, 31—SO. The points cup went to Miss J. Herbert, and the season's eclectic event to Miss 0. Berry.
