Growing Interest In Caravan Rallies

QATtAVAN enthusiasts in Auckland I recently held their most successful rally at Eerndale, in Henderson Valley. Eortv caravans assembled for the weekend. parties being present from districts as far distant ns Te Hoe and Maramnrua in the south to Helensville. It is considered the largest rally of its kind held in New Zealand. Members of the caravan section of the Automobile Association (Auckland) wvre highly enthusiastic concerning the success of the rally. A full programme was carried out. with the exception of adult sporting events, which were abandoned on account of rain. Sports for children were completed, and prizes were distributed at a dance. Another rally will be held at Eastern Beach on the King's Birthday weekend a fortnight hence. It will lie conducted on this occasion by the New Zealand Caravan Club, and an open invitation to A.A. members and other motorists lias been issued. The run to Eastern Beach from Auckland is 14 miles, compared with 16 to the Ferndale resort
