Railway Department's Road Motor Services have purchased and taken over my passenger, mails afid goods service between Kaitaia, Awanni and Otiria. The service has been operated in this district as TnafTe's Motors for the past 21 years and during all that time I have enjoyed liberal and loyal support from the Public of Kaitaia District in particular and the whole of New Zealand in general, and I extend to all my sincere thanks for their valued assistance and patronage over all these years. I am pleased to announco that the same loyal and efficient staff that it has been my pleasure to employ and work with has also been tuken over by the Government service and the public can rest assured of u continuation of their good service and attention, and I know the Department will leave nothing to be desired in the betterment of this service. My public repairs garage and service station has also been purchased by the Department and this garage will no longer be open for repairs to cars belonging to the public. The owners of the several garages in the district all rank in my list of friends, and I now retire from the garage business .pleased to know that the travelling public will still be well catered for and rendered efficient service. I desire It to bo known that the Department has not forced me into this sale or off the road. To the contrary, I have had the pleasure In dealing in a most fair and amicable manner and I now sincerely trust that the public will continue to give the same generous support and assistance to the Railway Department's Services as jt has been my privilege to enjoy over all these years. Thanking all once again. (Signed) J. T. B. TAAFFE. A' IRLINE Radio, left for Repair, Modern A Radio Service, 403 Kliyber Pass.—lf not claimed with 14 days will be sold to defray expenses.
