THE METROPOLE

All available space was utilised in the cubicles and lounges at the Metropole on Saturday evening by oldtime and modern dance enthusiasts. A wedding reception created special interest, the tables and foyer being decorated with foliage and Iceland poppies. Mr. Llew Jones and his band played the "Wedding March" in honour of the occasion. Original arrangements of favourite airs assisted to make a happy entertainment, the musical features including selections on the sub-toned clarinet by Mr. Norman Egerton, a member of the orchestra.
