''PO add variety to winter • vegetable - 1 - dishes, room should be spared on deeply-dug ground for a few rows of salsify. This vegetable may be grown in a similar manner to parsnips, but the row 3 need not be more than 12 inches apart. Like those of parsnips, the roots are better if dug up as required for use and not stored.
