BORING FOR OIL

The New Zealand Petroleum Company, Limited, reports that the Morere well has been carried to 4384 ft. in hard, sticky shale. The hole has boon reamed to the full size to a depth of 4367 ft. The Midhirst well is now 1983 ft. deep in hard sandstone.
