Tail Light Switch
{ If a slop light ceases to function, and : it is found that the bulb is quite in- ■ tact, the trouble can sometimes be S traced to a fault in the mechanical | connections between the stop light j switch and brake pedal. In some cars j a clip is attached to a rod leading j from the brake pedal to the brake i mechanism and this clip pulls the I switch to the "on" position through j a wire or strong coil spring when the | pedal is operated. If the clip slackens | off slightly and gradually slides along | the brake rod, it will reach a point \ where it no longer operates the j switch. The remedy is simply to rej lease the clip and slide it back to I its original „position and then tighten : the clip screw firmly.
