A Lovely Sight

The spring put on her shining dress, Of pink, peach blossom silk: And her green slippers buckled on, ■ With daisies white as milk. On her bright head she Wore a cap, With one sunbeam rosette; 'Twas tied beneath her chin with straps. Of raindrops—'twas a pet. She really did look beautiful, So blossomy and bright; Had vou but seen her you'd agree, she was a lovely sight. —lvy Gibbs
