FIVE THOUSAND SPIDERS

After travelling 3000 miles in Utah and Arizona, Dr. W. J. Gertsch, associate curator of spiders of the American Museum of Natural History, has returned to New York with a collection of 5000 spiders, including black widows and tarantulas. Dr. Gertsch was accompanied by his wife and Luther Hookas biologist. Many of the specimens were found at altitudes of 8000 to 10,000 feet.;;
