ROTORUA INTERESTS
HEALTH LEAGUE MEETING f The third birthday party of the Women's Health League was held at the TJmukaria Meeting House, Whakarewarewa, recently. Miss Cameron presided, and others present included Mrs. Waaka, patroness and vice-president of the central committee; Mrs. Peter Fraser, Wellington; Miss M. J. Lambie, director of nursing; Dr. Gilbert, medical officer of health-, Hamilton; Miss Milroy, nurse inspector, Hamilton; Miss Cameron, post graduate tutor, Wellington. Also present were representatives of the various religious bodies, local organisations and six district health nurses. Eighteen health leagues in all were represented, including one from as far south at Taumarunui. Mrs. A. Budd, of Victoria Street, has returned from a holiday at Mount Maunganui. Mrs. D. Fraser, of Rotorua, is visiting Auckland. Mrs. C. Bland, of Rotorua, who has been on a visit to Wellington and Auckland. has returned home. Miss D. C. Chambers, of Periri Street, has left to take up a position in Auckland.
Mrs. W. S. Wallis, of Pukaki Street, is on a short visit to Mount Maunganui. The Misses Carter, of Lake Road, have returned from an extended visit to Wellington. Miss June McLarne, of Okoroire, is visiting Rotorua "and is the guest of Miss .June Wells, Fenton Street.
Miss Olive Jury, of Rotorua, is on a visit to Auckland, and is the guest of Mrs. C. Hitchcock, Papakura. Miss Budd has returned to Kia Ora Hospital from a short holiday at Mount Maunganui. Miss Pat Moodie, of McLean Street, has left Rotorua to take up the nursing profession in Auckland.
