BRITISH ISRAELITES ASK QUESTIONS
During the last few weeks a succession of attacks have been made on British Israel Truth. All the attacks show a lamentable lack of knowledge of the Book.
' It is not my purpose to reply individually to these opponents, I purpose to ask them a series of questions. Here they are: WHO ARE WE? Who and where were we before we were Anglo-Saxons? What heritage is there in our dim past that makes us more acl^ vl l ° accept Christianity than other nations or races?, for that is a j has God's bountv been especially showered upon us, so that the hold more power, possess more wealth, occupy and rule mote te'rritorv and have a greater influence than any other nation and people In all historv? Why is the British Empire alone eight times griater than the Roman "Empire* at its height? What became ot the ten l übes of Israel? Were they amalgamated? If so, when and with whom. And what Scriptural or historical authority is there for the statement. Ha\e tlicj merely ceased to exist? Then what becomes of the multitude of promises made'specilleallv to the ten-tribe "House of Israel" as plainly distinguished from the "House of Judali"? If they have ceased to exist, then what becomes of Judali? For note that Judah's restoration must be accomplished through the House of Israel. Read, for example, the 18th and 19th chapters of Jeremiah, and note that while the ten-tribed House of Israel is a vessel marred in the making, and Is to be made 0\oi; J ilfecdrl, Judah is a finished vessel, baked and burned, which lias been broken so that it cannot be mended. Now ask a potter, and he will tell you that the onlv wav such a vessel can be salvaged is for it o be ground to a nowder and mixed with fresh clay. It cannot be used again alone, this implication is verified by Jer. 3:11, "And the Lord said unto me, The harkslidinir Israel hath justified herself more than treacherous Judah, and is emphasised by thS verses which follow. The 18th verse says, "In those days the house of Judah shall walk with the house of Israel . . The marginal rendering is "shall walk to the house of Israel. Ezeklel s parable of the two sticks, and his vision of the valley of dry bones, both tell the same story. If Israel had vanished, or been amalgamated, how are the Scriptures to be fulfilled?
Gen. 35:11 promises Abraham that "A nation and a company of nations shall bs of thee." If America is not that nation, and Great Britain that company of nations, who are?
If the Anslo-Saxons are not a great people, where is such a people to be found? If-we are not Israel, we must be Gentiles, as such are m possession of Palestine, and as Gentiles must be driven out before the Jews can return and Christ take up His earthly reign. With all of our sins and faults, what nation or race has administered righteousness and justice in its colonies as consistently as the AngioSaxon peoples?
If God's Israel were to be in the Isles North and West of Jerusalem (the Isles afar off) and Great Britain is not Israel, then Great Britain must be destroved and another nation found to replace her. (Isa. ii:i, ,49:1-3, 12; 51:5: Jer. 3:18; 31:7-10.) If we are not Israel, how does it come that we have Israel's Sabbath, which was to be a sign, their common law (the only nations having it) their military prowess, for they were to be God's battle axe to destroy the nations. i -.
How is it that we are the evangelising and missionary peoples of the earth? How is it that we possess thewealth of the world? We borrow from none and lend to all. (Deut. 15:0; 28:12.) Who are the sheep nations that befriend "My Brethren" if not Anglo-Saxon-Celtic-Israel-Great Britain and her company of nations and the United States of America a great nation, together with Holland, Denmark, the Scandinavian nations and related peoples? Surely, they are not the Jews.
How is It that we have always been pro-Jewish, and the only nation frlendlv to the Jews? How is it that Anglo-Saxons alone, without the helD of anv other people, took Palestine and became its protector? Has God changed His plan and chosen a Gentile nation to make it possible for the Jews to return to the Promised Land?
Ex 9 5:1-4, "And I will lay my vengeance upon Edom by the hand of MY PEOPLE ISRAEL." Is not Edom Turkey? W 7 as not 1917 the end of 1.335 vears from the beginning of the Hegira? W r as not Turkey driven out bv Great. Britain (Israel) on the 1,335 th anniversary? Unless Great Britain is Israel, then the Turks were driven out by the Gentiles, and, therefore, contrary to phophecy.
Also, Ezek. 36:7-12; Luke 21:24. Is Jerusalem still "trodden down of the Gentiles?"
' If the Anglo-Saxons are not Israel, what people inhabit the waste places and the wilderness, as God said Israel should? (Isa. 49:8; 54:1-3.) "The Anglo-Saxons, having inhabited the Isles of the sea and the waste places, where Is there still a place for Israel if, and when, found? '' How is it God places Tarshish (Great Britain) and the young lions thereof (the company of nations), together with Sheba and Dedan against Russia, Gomer, Togamah, and many people with them, and then lights for us as he did for the Children of Israel at the Red Sea, if we be not Israel? God has made no such promise to other nations. ' How can the Jews be all there is of Israel when Ez. 37:15-23 requires that Ephraim and his fellows representing the ten tribes, and Judah, representing his fellows, must be united and march together (not alone) to Palestine? How can the Jews be said to be all of Israel, seeing that thev are not a nation, or a company of nations? They are not a nation in the Isles of the sea, they &re not a missionary people, they have not populated the waste places. They have not been God's battle axe. Thev are not known as a great people. They do not possess the gates of their enemies, they are not blind to their origin, they are not an undefeated race, they have no colonies, they do not possess a heathen nation. All of these were to be true of Israel.
„ Why is it claimed by opponents of Anglo-Israel teaching that Christ is the Stone Kingdom, when Dan. 2:34-45 says plainly that in those days the God of Heaven shall set up a kingdom that shall never be destroyed? IN the davs of those kings, not AFTER. It is a Kingdom and with it He will destrov the nations. Christ is never spoken of as a Kingdom. He is' the Chief Corner Stone of the STONE KINGDOM, its completion, but not the Kingdom.
' This Kingdom is not set up after, but during the DAYS OF THOSE KINGS, and carries over Into the Millenium and continues forever. All pfe-mlllennialists believe in and teach the near return of Christ, but a nation meeting all of the above requirements must be in possession of Palestine when Christ returns to establish His Kingdom.
Whv are the Anglo-l3rael teachers charged with heresy and teaching the doctrine of devils when they accept and teach every fundamental truth, such as the inspiration and inerrancy or the Bible, the deity of Jesus, including His pre-existence and oneness with the Father, His Virgin birth, His resurrection of the body, the descent of the Holy Spirit, Salva'tion bv faith, the Gospel of the Grace of God, as set forth by the Christian Church, throughout the ages, the return of Christ for His Body, the Church, and His return with His Body to reign during the millenium? - Whv is it that there are 2,511 promises and prophecies made to Iferael and the ten tribes, and only 750 to Judah, if the Jews are all that is left of Israel? What disposition is to be made of the promises to Israel? Why has the Church spiritualised the promises to Israel and transferred them to Judah and the Church?
Why do Church leaders persist in calling Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and the ten tribes of Israel Jews when it Is clear that only descendants of Judah are properly so-called? The term. "Jews" was never applied to Israel, and does not appear in the Bible until 250 years after the separation of the tribes. The flrst mention of the name "Jew" is in 11. Kings 16:6.
Whv do anti-Anglo Israelites persist In claiming that the Jews are all of Israel when the genealogies given In Ezra and Nehemiah of the 42,000 who returned to Jerusalem from the Babylonian captivity were only from the tribes of Judah and Benjamin? The ten tribes were outside of the Roman Empire in A.D. 70, according to Josephus, who says they were a verv great company without number. Why do opponents of AngloIferael insist on all the curses pronounced upon Israel being fulfilled literally and the blessings conferred either upon the Church or Judah?
Why do our opponents not recognise the fact that the seven times pronounced upon Israel (the Ten Tribes) was completed in 1709, just 2.520 years after their taking away to Assyria byShalmaneser in 721 8.C.? Their restoration, therefore, should begin at that time and continue until the return of Christ, when He, whose right it is, should take the throne. Why do they not see that Judah's punishment should begin 135 years later, and'end correspondingly, i.e., in 1936?
Since the punishment began in stages, it should end In stages, reaching its climax in 1936. Were it not for persistent apostasy, this lifting of the punishment should have been phenomenal, as the rise of the AngloSaxon peoples. As it is, the Jews have enjoyed a remarkable increase in freedom, privilege and power, and. to-day they are practically ruling the world—but not in the interest of righteousness. God, foreseeing this apostasy, made no promise of permanent restoration' to Judah, but only to Israel (and to Judah through Israel). . ;;
Why do our opponents not see that the promises made to Israel were far more extensive, and just as sure of fulfilment, as those made to Judah? l£ it not unsound exegesis to literallse the curses to Israel and spiritualise her blessings and transfer them to the Church? If the curses were literal and earthly, why not the promised blessings? • • - ■ . >
I When Jesus said unto the Jews, "Your house Is left unto you desolateand "The Kingdom shall be taken from you and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof," to whom did He give it bijt to the ten tribes of .Israel, who were then in part settled in the" Isles afar off with a descendant of David upon the throne through Tea Tephl, Zedeklah's elder daughter, thus fulfilling God's promise to David that we would never lack a'man to sit upon the throne? The ten tribes were still residing in great numbers around the shores of the Caspian and Black Seas. Immediately following A.D. 70, these tribes began their trek westward, continuing until'A.D. 1066, when the Normans arrived, they being the escaped tribe of Benjamin whom God Joaned to Judafi for a time that "He might always have a light before him." (I. Kings 11:3G; 12:23.)
In Jer., 3rd chapter, note especially verse 11, which says, "And the Lord said unto me, the backsliding Israel hath justified herself more than treacherous Judah." Therefore the ten tribes are not'as guilty as Judah, and would consequently receive less severe punishment and would likely precede Judah In their restoration by 135 years. God said the ten tribes would be hidden, even unknown to the'msfelves; known by another tongue; scattered among the nations, but not mixed with them. Is that not true of the Anglo-Saxons and of no other nations? Can you answer the above questions? If you cannot, then our case Is proved. • " Finally, the sum of £250 was ofrered three years ago to the first man who can prove that the identification marks (given in 3. book entitled "Britain Is Israel") apply to any other nation but Britain. The price is 2/- and the book can be obtained from / * ' : , CYMRY C/o Beavis & Co., Elliott Street, Auckland. > 14/8/40,
