Forecast: Moderate south-easterly winds over the northern lnlf of the North Island, freshening at times in the Gisborne area; elsewhere 1 light to moderate and variable breezes, •with liortherlies later predominating over the South Island and freshening. Seas: Rather rough between East Cape and Castlepoint, but moderating; elsewhere slight to moderate. Eastern Tasman Sea: Light to moderate and variable winds in the central and northern portions, with moderate seas; moderate to strong north-westerlies in 1 the south, with rising seas. Weather: ' Fair to fine, except in the Gisborne area, where isolated showers are still likely; cloud increasing to-morrow in western and far southern districts of the South Island and drizzle developing later in south Westland.
