Coats, and Mrs. Coats, was given I)} 1 the entertainment committee of tlio society in the Fabian Club rooms. Mrs. P. Heath Freest presided. An enjoyable programme was presented. NEWMARKET SUB-CENTRE The Newmarket sub-centre of the Red Cross Society held a successful "bring and buy" sale recently in the Newmarket, Municipal Chambers. The Mayor and councillors wort; entertained at tea in recognition of their consistent help in placing the municipal chambers at the disposal of the sub-centre for its activities. During the afternoon and" evening musical items were contributed by Mrs. 0. Spencer and Mr. B. Tilley. A similar function will be held each Friday with various organisations in 'charge.
