SOLDIER PATIENTS
MORE MEASLES CASES TWO FROM NGARUAWAHIA HEALTH OFFICER'S VIEW [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON, Tuesday A case of measles lias been reported at the 7th Medium Battery territorial camp at Claudelands. An inspection of the camp was made by Dr. C. B. Gilberd, district health officer, to-day, and he decided it was not necessary to isolate the camp. Two cases have been admitted to the Waikato Hospital from the Ngaruawakia camp and four . more from To Jtapa. There were 39 soldiers affected with measles or suspected cases in the hospital this afternoon. Dr. Gilberd expressed the opinion that the Ngaruawahia men had contracted the complaint from outside and not from contact with the Te Rapa men. A number of cases. of measles has been reported among civilians in Hamilton. CONDITIONS AT TE RAPA THE MEN IN GOOD SPIRITS [BY TELEGRAPH' PRESS ASSOCIATION] ' WELLINGTON, Tuesday Tho Director-General of Medical Services, Colonel Bowerbank, who visited Te Rapa yesterday, says the men isolated there are in good spirits, comfortably quartered and well looked after. Speaking of the measles epidemic in camps generally, Colonel Bowerhanlv said all new cases were of a, mild type.
