AMATEUR BILLIARDS

Tho Auckland B grade provincial amateur billiards championship for tho Backett Cun was continued last evening at Messrs. Billiards, Limited's, showrooms, when tho last game in tho quarter-finals was played. W. Natzke defeated G. Lamb after an exciting and keen game by 3 points. Lamb was the more consistent in tho early stages and had a useful lead at tho first hundred mark. Natzke, however, gave a nice display in making an all-round break of 50, to take the lead. Lamb then made runs of 22 and 28, and the scoring fluctuated over the final stages with Natzke just getting the decision with the final shot. Tho scores were; W. Natzke, 300; G. Lamb, 207. The semifinals will be played to-night.
