Daubenay, who arrived 'recently from Miri, Sarawak, left Auckland yesterday to tour New Zealand. Mrs. W. P.' Endean and Miss Colin Endean, Judge Street, Parnell, have returned from a holiday spent at Manly. Miss Gloria Crookes, of To Papapa, left by the limited express last night for Wellington, where she will in future reside. The Misses Errol and Pauline Cropper, Vincent Avenue, Remuera, returned on Monday from the Chateau Tongariro. \ Miss M. Porritt, who has been staying at Biltinoro House, Remuera, i'rtr the last two months, left on Monday for Stratford. Miss Joyce Richardson has returned to her flat in Eden Crescent after spending a short holiday at Lake Okareka as the guest of Mrs. G. F.-Court. Mrs. Desmond Williams, of Te Awamutu, is spending several weeks in Auckland with her mother. H. M. Hume, Kipling Avenue, Epsom. Mrs. E. O. Sundin and her daughter, of Tonga, who have been spending three months in Sydney, are now in Auckland and are staying at Hotel Stonehurst. Mrs. H. Atmore, honorary Dominion organiser of the Women's War Service Auxiliary, arrived at Auckland yesterday morning from Nelson. She is at the Station Hotel. The birth of a son to Lord and Lady David Douglas-Hamilton is announced. Before her marriage ill 1938 Lady David Douglas-Hamilton was Miss Prunella Stack, leader of the Women's League of Health and Beauty, wrote our London correspondent on June 19.
