CARGO ON PRIZE SHIP

ITALIAN STEAMER REMO GOODS FOR AUCKLAND Twenty-five consignees in Auckland are directly interested in the cargo of the Remo, the Italian steamer held in Australia as a prize of 'war. Places of origin of the cargo intended for Auckland are stated in manifests to be Spain, Switzerland, Genoa, Messina, Cochin China and Colombo, and the goods concerned in some instances are of particular value because of shortages.

Cargo for Auckland consignees includes good quantities of olive oil frcwn Spain, cream of tartar, lemon oil, tea, straw braids, electrical goods, rayons and rayon tissues, vermouth, wine, straw hats and coir mats. It is expected that the cargo will be transhipped across the Tasman, and consignees must supply proof to the Collector of Customs in Auckland that they owned the cargo before June 11.
