FRANKLIN COUNTY RATES

[from our OWN correspondent] PUKEKOHE. Monday A unanimous decision that the rate to bu levied by the Franklin County Council this year should be the samo as last year was reached at tho July meeting of the council, held at Pukekolic to-day. A sum of £26,854 was estimated by the engineer, Mr. A. C. Bcttany, to be required by the council during the year for road maintenance, in addition to Highways Board subsidies. Tar-seal-ing of the road past the Patumahoe School and of a length at Harrisville Corner was authorised.
