In pursuance of the powers under the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, the Rating Act, 1925, and Amendments, Section 10 of the Reserves and other Lands Disposal and Public Bodies Empowering Act, 1924, and all other powers enabling it in that behalf, the following water charges and rates be made and levied:— (1) WHERE WATER IS SUPPLIED BY METER— In respect of ordinary supply to consumers, as defined by Clause 405 of Part XVI. of tho Council's By-laws, the sum of One Shilling and Ninepence per thousand gallons, with a minimum rate of seven shillings (7/-) per half-year. In respect of extraordinary supply to consumers, as defined by Clause 405 of Part XVI. of tho Council's By-laws, tho sum of One Shilling and Ninepence per thousand gallons of water used in excess of four thousand gallons per half-year, in addition to the charge by way of water rate hereinbefore mentioned for ordinary supply. (2) NON-CONSUMERS' WATER RATES— Upon all lands and buildings to which water can be but is not supplied situated within ono hundred yards from any part of the Waterworks within the Mangere Riding of the County of Manukau, a rate not exceeding one-half of the Rates above-mentioned for ordinary supply per annum, provided that in no case shall the minimum amount bo less than seven shillings (7/-) per annum. The Rates to bo for the year commencing on the Ist day of April, 1910, and ending on the 31st day of March, 1911, and to be due and payable in ono instalment on the 14th day of September, 1910, to the Collector, EDGAR ASHCROFT, at the Council's Office, corner of Shortland and Princes Streets, Auckland, where the valuation rolls and rate books are open for inspection during office hours.
