CALL TO SACRIFICE
WOMEN AND THEIR FIGURES
Men are ready to sacrifice their lives; women must be ready to sacrifice their looks and their figures by taking on a war job, said Lady Reading at Cardiff the other day. Her audience of a thousand women cheered.
Appealing specially for nurses, Lady Beading said: "This is the timo when stout women are coining into their own. Women who have been nurses are worth their weight in gold, never mind how fat they have become."
