GRIM DETERMINATION
BRITISH FAITH IN VICTORY [BY TELEGRAPH PRESS ASSOCIATION*] WELLINGTON, Wednesday Early last month one of the leading executives in a United States manufacturing concern known throughout the world returned home after spending six years in Europe. In a letter received in New Zealand commenting on tho attitude of Britain in the world crisis ho said:
"The English are tho most grim and determined of all tho belligerents. As far as outward appearances are concerned evidence of their preparation for an invasion is on every hand. Thero is not a singlo block in all London without signs that point to an air raid shelter.
"The British are prepared for the worst Germany can give. They are determined to see the war through to the end and are not deceived as to the sacrifice ahead. They have an extreme confidence in their ultimate victory that will take much more than the present reverses to shake."
