OVERSEAS SECURITIES
Sir, —Re the commandeer of holdings abroad and Mr. Nash's attempt at explanation as reported in the Heuai.k, July 17. "Mr. Nash's statements are surely most misleading; or is it that lie is unacquainted with the terrible document that lias been issued, presumably by his authority? Does* lie* not know that it contains a straight-out offer to sell to the Reserve Hank upon unknown terms, and .that signature to this offer is to be obtained by force? If this is not so why the unprecedented threats and bullying further contained therein if it is merely for "registration" purposes? Pioneer.
