ARTILLERY BAND
The social committee of the Auckland Artillery Band held its 76th annual meeting in the bandroom last night, Sergeant-Major F. B. Smyth presiding. In his report the secretary, Sergeant .T. Robinson, said that the band had had a successful year, winning the McLeod Cup at the Dominion championships and gaining highest points in tho military section of the quickstep. A number of concerts hud been given in the parks, while the band had been frequently called upon for patriotic pur-, poses. It was decided to hold a jubilee week later in the year. Officers were elected as follows:—Chairman, Sergeant-Major F. B. Smyth; treasurer, Sergeant G. Webber: secretary. Sergeant J. Bobinson; auditor, Mr. C. Collinßwond; librarian, Lance-Bombardier C. Barry; conductor. Mr. H. Christinnson; deputy-conductor. Sergeant G. Jones-Parry.
