BILLIARDS CHAMPIONSHIP

The Auckland Provincial open billiards championship was continued last night at Barton and McGill's Billiard Hall, when two mulches wore decided. The first match between A. Bowie and H. Hue was keenly fought, with lite scores even throughout. Bowie won by .">oO points to -137. Tho best breaks were:— Bowie. :t:t. 'JB. 21. 21, and 37 unOiushcd; Bae. '_M, 32, 21, 27. The second match, between M. D. jvnite, holder of the title, nnd L. Holdswortli. produced some excellent billiards. Both players made useful breaks at the start and ni the 200 mark the scores were even. White then took command, making breaks of 83, 47 ,and 24, and won by 500 points to 329. Game? tonight will be between 'A. Croft and w, 1 Thompson, and E. D. Roberts and A. Bowiba
