WRESTLING CONTEST
BOUT TO-MORROW NIGHT BLOMFIELD-O'CONNOR RETURN The display given by Sergeant-Major Lofty Blomfield in his challenge bout with Earl McCready last week will long live in the memory of those who saw it. It was striking evidence of the fact that, against an opponent who suits his stylo of wrestling, BlomHeld can satisfy all tasteß better than any other wrestler who has been seen in tlilfl country. To-morrow night, at the Auckland Town Hall, Blomfield will meet another man against whom lie will show to the best advantage, although it will bo an' opponent with a style different from that of McCready. This is Dan O'Connor, the Irish-Californian whose previous matches with Blomfield in the local ring w'ere packed with action and gave rise to the greatest excitement. Altiiongh Blom field's acquaintance with O'Connor extends over the present season onlv. exceptional rivalry has grown up between thrni. The match to-morrow night will have the keen edge which naturally results from such circumstances. O'Connor is big and powerful enough to stand up to all the punishment that Blomfield can hand out, and lie can also be depended upon to return it with interest. His drop-kicks provide him with a surprise attack, and, wjth some specialty holds to back it up, and all-rpund ability in orthodox wrestling, he has ,showr\ that he can trouble Iho best of wrestlers.
