HAMILTON SOCIETY'S YEAR [FROM OUR OWK CORBKSPONDKN'T] HAMILTON, "Wednesday A decision to continue the activities of the society, although it was thought that difficulties would probably be encountered during the year on account of the war, was made at the annual meeting of the Hamilton Horticultural Society. It was decided that the national daffodil show, which is to be held in Hamilton in September, should be conducted as a patriotic effort. The following officers were elected; — Patron, Dr. H. Douglas; president, Mr. J. M. MeWhannell; vice-presidents, Messrs. T. Simpson and A. W. Ward and Mesdaines E. C. Day and D. Seymour; committee, Messrs. H. M." Hammond, S. R. Handley, K. Johnstone, J. T. Watson, H. H. Bennett, F. S. Yeale, M> C. Gudex, Eers G. A v . Crossman, Mrs. H. H. Tombs, Mrs. H. M. Hammond, Mrs, 0. W. Armstrong, Mra. C. D. MaeDiarmld, Mrs. T. Simpson, Mrs. T. A. Blake, Mra. A, G. Downes, Mrs. A. E. Sandford, Mrs. K. Johnstone, Miss I. Vercoe. Miss S. Tudhope, Miss B. Pinfold, Miss 0. Farrer, Miss G. M. Wyatt and Miss P. C. von Sturmer; secretary, Mr. W. L.
