Miss I. M. Simmons, of Singapore, is at the Station Hotel.
Mrs. D'Arcy Smith and Miss D'Arcy Smith, of Hamilton, who have been staying at Hotel Stonehurst, have returned home.
Miss Penelope Davidson, Patey Street, Remuera, who has been spending several weeks in Dunedin, returned this week to Auckland.
Mrs. B. Richmond, of Parnell, has gone to Dunedin to stay with her mother, Mrs. Agnew, during her husband's absence overseas.
Mrs. K. Crawford, of Epsom, has returned from England and after staying with Mrs. C. F. Yates, Khandallan, Welington, has arrived in Auckland.
Mrs. W. Higgins and Miss Higgins, of Tinakori Road, Wellington, who have been at the Grand Hotel for. the past week, returned south yesterday.
Miss P. Jarrett, the Melbourne journalist, who went to the United States at the beginning of March, has been appointed private secretary to Mrs. R. G. Casey, wife of the Australian Minister in Washington.
Miss Millicent Ward will leave Auck-, land in about a fortnight's time for Melbourne to be married to Dr. Anthony James, a member of the Australian R.A.M.C. Miss Ward will return to Auckland in about six weeks' time.
