SENTENCE TO STAND
SYDNEY TAXATION CASE SYDNEY, May 21 The appeal by Theodore Trautwein against a sentence of a year's imprisonment has been dismissed. The Judge stated that Trautwein had perpetrated a serious and calculated fraud. Trautwein, who owns important hotel property m the city, and who is prominent in racing circles, was charged with making an untrue representation concerning an agreement with the Federal Taxation Department under which he was privileged to pay otf heavy indebtedness by comparatively fcuaaU instalments.
